Water, Water Everywhere

Hurricane Katrina has come and gone in New Orleans. The dam has broken, the city is drowning.

This summer, it rained most of the time over here in Central Europe. Flooding, mudslides and destruction were the outcome.

Over in the Philippines, July and August usually mark the start of the rainy season. I used to miss this time of the year, while we had summer over here. But this year I did not miss it at all.

This is Maria-Fe Ortner reporting from the ditact summer studies in Salzburg.

But there is no global warming after all...

We are all witnessing a dramactic change in the global climate. The reasons will have to be made clear by researchers all over the world, and if there are any solutions with long term effects remains to be seen, BUT....
some politicians, not only President Bush, but conservatives all over the world seem to ignore the facts. They pretend that the disasters happening around the globe are just one-time phenomena. In my opinion that´s close to stupidity...the first step for solving problems is to aknowledge they are there after all.......
